x 10" diameter. Hand-coiled red earthenware with hand-painted
white maiolica glaze.
This dream inspired work was created using the coil method
of pot forming. It is glazed with white maiolica glaze and
hand-painted with multiple washes of mineral pigments. This
work is also a "dream self-portrait" of the artist
and illustrates a nocturnal experience of floating high above
a large body of water in a strange land — passing over
a steep cliff and feeling the ecstatic and effervescent sensation
of her physical body dissolving into the air and water in
the brilliance of a warm golden light.
