The Ponies Went Up. Hand-painted maiolica glaze on earthenware. 13" high x 8.5" wide.

This puzzle-piece mural was inspired by a dream in which the artist finds herself inside an oddly shaped house high up on a hill where ponies dance up the walls and back down to the floor moving along like skaters. At the bottom right corner, a rusted collection of old toys rests beneath a steep staircase. A stream winds upward out of the ground from the well-like circular form that is also a wedding ring. In the distance appears a watchful eye, taking in the details of the entire landscape as the ponies dance up into the sky.
