This custom project was created for David & Edith Blake of Chromo, CO. It is the focal point within a lovely Mexican style patio garden at the Blakes’ home located on a beautiful hilltop overlooking magnificent Navajo Peak. The back wall of the fountain is carved in high relief and hand-painted with mineral pigments on a fine white maiolica glaze.

Sculptural Forms Bring Dimension...

The fountain’s waterspout is a hand-sculpted moth - crowned with beautiful apples and tropical leaves that are draped with a brightly colored coral snake. Water gently trickles from the moth in three fine streams and flows downward to a basin below where it pools before overflowing into a large rectangular basin at the bottom.
